Gory but good detail about the effects of the shots. Makes the reader mourn for a character who already dead when you meet him. Makes you want vengeance for whoever would do this to a fellow human being.

Gee, I thought I left most of the gore out. No descriptions of blood and brains, no pools of blood or vomiting witnesses. Just a brief description of how to try to obscure who the body used to be.
