A very interesting way to explore family ties to duty/responsibility, and the crisis of a parent. It practically begs for a sequel, and I’ll be glad to see where this goes. Love the way Donnachaidh rolls off the tongue too!

One minor niggle – the door/doorway juxtaposition at the end doesn’t quite sit right with me – or at least I can’t envisage the layout of their house :)
