Desk #5 Benjamin Kola
Ben loved writing. Every spare moment he had, he spent writing. Mostly about how he wished life would be— adventurous, spontaneous, and enjoyable. Not that he hated his life, it was just that he wished better things would happen to him.
“Timothy Brooks!” Mr. Dobbins yelled. Ben looked up from his notebook and glanced at Tim along with the rest of the class. Tim was the typical basketball star at their school, and he, along with Tyler and Randy, were best friends. He was closer to Randy. Even though Randy was across from Ben, they always passed notes to each other.
Hey, let’s work together on that project I heard Mr. Boobins is assigning.
Sure. Are you going to actually do work this time?
:P Very funny, Ben. If you want me to I’ll do the work.
Good, because I do.
Ha. Anyway, you know Laura, right? Well I’m thinking about asking her out.
Ben felt a knife being rammed in his back. Yet he didn’t understand why.
If you want, sure, I support it.
He felt bad lying to Randy.
