This was a sweet little story. The last line is perfect, as it’s not melodramatic, but it’s just revealing enough to leave the reader disconcerted.

Very cute moment told in a sweet way. Nicely captured moment and then that last line does a good job of putting it into the context of the rest of an adult life with lots of implications.

Last line was the best. Perfectly captured the difference between then and now, the trust she has lost in her father for whatever reason. Loved it.
