I think you did a great job showing how passionate Ben is – it would seem that he falls in love easily and goes over the top (but that’s just my interpretation). My only query is that Randy made it pretty clear he was straight. You might want to add some doubt, because you sound so sure of this life to come.

I like it as a whole — just this whole idea about having a confident gay teen is nice to see. My only critique is that he’s really aggressive about his sexuality in the whole piece, only to have the postscript undermine its weight a little bit. It’s not that I don’t think he would trust his teacher, but I almost think it would be better if it were at the top somehow, maybe as a parenthetical statement or something.
Otherwise, he has such a strong voice! I really enjoyed it.
