But she is talking about depression and sadness,

and you are trying to tie in the beauty of nature and your frustration as a writer?

I am well and truly discombobulated. I don’t see how the word cuándo ties in with any of it.

Cuando is only accented when a question is being asked or talked about. Otherwise not. In this case: “he left when I came” when is not asking anything so would not be accented in Spanish.
None of my whens would take an accent in Spanish. No sir!

It is a sequel in the prime meaning of the term: it follows its predecessor, and is directly inspired by it. I don’t have to agree with my inspiration. I might choose to contradict.
