I laid down on the warm grass and soaked in the everlasting sun. Everyone would arrive later than planned, but I always liked being early. It was a small town and all of us had been friends forever, but with time came secrets. That’s what this town was mostly made of. Everyone had a secret, people finding out and having another secret to bare.

Susan and John had been going out for over a year. They were happily together, but their relationship had more secrets than anyone I’ve ever known. John cheated on Susan with some girl at a party, while Susan also cheated on John with a girl she met at the same party. What they didn’t know was that they were with the same girl.

Jake was the typical closeted gay guy, but he’s confided in me to keep his secret. He’s had his eye on John forever, and they had two make-out sessions, unknown to Susan. Of course, Susan confided in me when she was scared that John liked guys, so she wanted some action and came to me.
