It starts out good, but I find it tapers away a little towards the end. It seems like nothing happened except for the character realizing the trouble he/she got into.

I like the metaphors in the beginning.

I think it is pretty, it feels like it is part of a larger whole. I know on Ficly that most stories leave that feeling in one way or another but this feels like a glimpse of a much larger life.
