Fairy Inspiration
The sky slowly darkened to a navy blue with hints of amber. Dogs’ ears perked as a collective squeak raced through the world. The time to spread their magic had come.
Meanwhile, close by, Thaddeus had just snuggled under his covers. He’d had a tough day. He tried everything to help him think of an idea for his next bestseller. He’d paced, hoping to jump start his mind. He’d meditated, freeing his mind from all restrictions. Nothing. Frustrated, he’d finally climbed into bed. He tossed and turned before falling into a fitful sleep.
The fairies divined his discomfort and made their way inside. Once above his prostrate form, they began their inspiration dance. They twirled and cavorted while fairy dust sprinkled down around Thad. Once the frolicing was over, the tiniest of fairies planted a kiss on his temple, then they all flew away into the night.
Thad relaxed and fell into the deepest sleep of his life. The next morning, his pen lit the page afire with his words flying through it.
