Dazed and Confused

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. He created the sun and the moon, the stars in the heavens, night and day, all the creatures of the earth, and then finally he created man and woman in his own image. God looked on it all and saw that it was good.

Meanwhile, in the depths below, Jimmy Page was working on his creation. For six days he had been working, since the beginning of time. In the time that God had created the entirety of the earth, he had been intent on one thing only, to create something which would mix it all up, just a little bit. He toiled in the flickering twilight, skin sweaty and aglow, his snake eyes unfocussed through his hanging black hair. He let his hands wander freely over his Gibson Les Paul guitar, bringing forth shuddering chords and wailing notes of feedback, for days and days and days, until finally the chaotic sounds coalesced into a soul. Jimmy saw that it was mighty fine, and sent it earthwards, to where Eve was eyeing a particularly tasty looking apple.
