Vampire's Wordplay
Vampire. What an ugly name. Andrea thought to herself. It’s got the word “vamp” in it, which implies that we like parties. She chuckled – a sociopath, she thought this generalization was hilariously incorrect. Pire sounds like umpire, but I don’t know a single vampire who likes baseball, let alone be a umpire
Then there’s amp. Loud music…well…not that bad. I suppose Evanescence kind of counts, though it’s more goth. Which, in turn, is stereotypical. With a sigh, she continued to dissect the word, talking out loud just for the sound of a voice. “Ampire sounds like empires, which leads to emperors. But we live forever, if left unharmed, so none of us are emperors. We’d rule for way too long.”
She continued on to anagrams. "If there was an extra ‘p’ then there would be pimp. Alan calls it being a pleasure manager, so that’s also not fair. I shall pretend rape does not appear and swiftly move on.
“Rip, though…I know some who prefer the messy way of blood-drinking…”
