Ah! We’ve had a couple of modern interpretations, now you bring a Shakespearean character into the present!
I like the quotes which bookend the piece, I know they don’t follow on from each other in the play, but they still work well here – maybe not one for those who don’t know ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, but good nonetheless – MH :)
I think they worked, and I’ve never read it. I’m mildly ashamed to say I only have three shakespeares in my repertoire; The Tempest, R & J and Macbeth. I loved them all. Unfortunately, Even though I’d have made a great Prospero, our production of The Tempest was swapped for “The Rainmakers” and they didn’t even let me be the Thunder God. I hated my primary school., swapping shakespeare for summit noone had ever heard of before. Cheesy musical it was. Getting back to the point, I loved it.
