The Sunshine Becomes a Nuisance

The sun had yet to even move from its high-over-head position. She looked around. No one else had seemed to notice that this spring day may never end. A little put-off by the persistent sunshine, she quickly walked home, almost diving behind her front door upon return.
She tried to continue her evening by resuming her normal routine. She made herself dinner. After a few quick bites, she found she had no appetite. The plate was left mostly untouched.
Turning on the tv, she tried to unwind with her favorite shows. But her eyes kept wandering towards the abnormal light filtering through her blinds. Sighing in exasperation, she flicked off the tv and once more ventured outside.
She decided it was a gift and there was no use wasting it. If she fell asleep, it was warm and dry out, so there was no need to think about catastrophe.
By midnight, the sun was still bursting forth from the crystal blue sky. She only continued to enjoy the splendor. Then unexpectedly ,and alarmingly, the world went pitch black.
