This piece was infused with that sort of postmodern attitude that I can’t quite describe but that I like and that fits well with what is being written. I’m definitely hooked.

If you want a grammatical correction: you can’t say “have began”, it should be “have begun”.
I like this writing very much. No guns go off, and for my part you could have left out the paragraph about the carnies… but then you would have needed another title.
