Good work, as direct as a letter to yourself would have to be to make any sense, but works for an outside reader as well – I just hope your own regrets aren’t quite as strong as those expressed in this piece… MH :)

time is cheating again.

Time travel always hurts my mind. He would have always received/wrote that letter and the reason he could write it at all was because he received it.

Hilarious and an all-too-common sentiment. Though, as the geek who actually went to class and stayed off drugs, it’s nice to hear this sort of stuff, cause you know I sit around and wonder if it was really worth it to deny myself all that fun back in the day. Mostly, I figure it is, cause my job is pretty damn cool. Still, fun to read this little diatribe to one’s younger, hedonistic self.

Yeah, I don’t feel like I would actually trade any of those moments of hedonism for some theoretical life. But, I feel like my life would have been less stressful if someone had interjected a nice scared straight letter into my teen years.

Great letter! The last four lines of paragraph 2 really made me smile.
