I like how this fits into the challenge. I also like how, despite the changes in mindset between the grandson and grandfather, their shared admiration of the car binds them together. I’m still toying with the line “America just grew up” though. For some reason, that doesn’t seem like the right explanation to me. I’m not sure American has matured necessarily, or if it’s more that the walls between countries have broken down. Good story!
