I always feared that we were some kids experiment. Or the dream of a giant super beetle.
Excellently executed, I think that you hint at whats going on a little bit, or at least I had an idea but just wasn’t sure. Either way, you nailed your concept out of the park.
I have a sneaking suspicion that someone reads Scott Adams’s (of Dilbert) blog. He frequently posits the idea that we are all a computer simulation. Though this is not an idea that is unique to him, or necessarily original. The movie The Thirteenth Floor had a similar idea central to the plot, and we’re all aware of The Matrix.
Overall, I enjoyed the read, but as a set of rules the Ten Commandments are completely, and utterly worthless. The first four all speak to the vanity of Jehova. It’s silly to think that anyone could possibly have come up with the Ten Commandments as a way to keep order. Well, anyone with a modicum of intelligence or common sense anyway. Maybe that’s where the Atheism tag comes in?
