Outskirts Diner - Part 3
“Put the knife away Damien!” Jennifer screamed as she gripped me tight in front of her.
“Shut up Bitch! Can’t you tell I love you!” Damien screamed. I finally noticed his blood shot eyes. He had been without sleep for the past several days.
I try to calm him down, “Listen, Damien…you look like you need some rest, put the knife down, I’ll give ya some tea, and we can settle this.”
“What the hell pops?! First you all ready to play batting practice, and now you ready for nicey-nice?!” Damien began to twitch.
“Damien, I don’t want to hurt ya, I will if you come hurt Jenn, but if you put the knife down, no one needs to get hurt.”
Suddenly, Jennifer took off running, Damien followed as I tried to hop over the counter and catch him before Jennifer ran out the door. As I did so, I slipped and fell which sent Damien tripping over me and landing face first. When I finally pushed him off, and stood up, I looked to see where Jennifer went.
She laid on her stomach, the butterfly knife impaled in her back.
