Say What?
I decided not to interrupt Shay, after I see her and Jane talking. Shay would kill me if I didn’t let Jane express her feelings, so I stay with Austin for a little while longer.
“Sorry,” I say after a little pause.
“About what?”
“Going to Shay when we were outside…”
“Oh, that. Don’t worry about it. You needed to help a friend,”
“Her and Jane have been having some problems,”
“Relationship?”
“Yeah, they don’t know whether they like each other or not. Blah blah blah…”
“I’m glad we don’t have those complications,” He says it causually, like it was obvious. He flips through some channels, while I’m still in awe.
“What do you mean?”
“Well, we both know we like each other. I’m not afraid to admit it, neither are you, so no complications,”
“What about in school? Any complications there?” He’s been known to be with a lot of girls. Not using them, but a lot like him. How would everyone react when he’s with a guy.
“Not sure yet…”
