Sex for a Year
Day 1: January 26, 2010
When I awoke at 6:45 AM, my first thoughts were about the neurologist’s appointment I had with Dr. Herzog at the Texas Neurologist Associate’s building in Suite 100. It’s lovely to start one’s day with the idea (drawn from playing internet doctor) that one might have lesions on the brain, and that recurrent headaches were, in fact, related to simple seizures.
My second thought was about sex.
Lying next to me, naked in bed, is a beautiful woman. The voluptuous curves of her figure are silhouetted beneath the sheets against the first rays of the morning sun… and I am completely awake. She, on the other hand, is still having a dream about robots. She tells me this after I have left the bed, used the bathroom, and I’m preparing to take a bath as she enters the bathroom still naked. This prompts me to respond by standing at full attention (metaphorically, of course), which she points out immediately and tells me not to look at her in this way.
And so it begins…
