Ficly is about that brief creative burst, middle of the day or late at night. Ficly forces you to choose your words wisely and accurately in order to create something coherent.

Challenges are the best. Thus far, I have responded to challenges about a western, involving snakes, a creepy, most gruesome story in a sentence, a 15 word challenge, a valentine love story, a police story, a story in Spanish and more.

As a writer, one is forced to explore genres and expand one’s skills. Feedback is immediate, deliberate, and sometimes, biting. But, if it weren’t for the support of the Ficly writers, it wouldn’t propel us further.

Ficly, as a site, is truly meritorious in bringing people together and creating an ethos that makes us all return and participate.
