I actually took out the ‘like a pussy’ part to make room for the last sentence after re-reading this. I originally was going to leave it in for the principle but felt like quote needed to be tied into the story a little more. This is a challenge!
I thank you again, because without your input (that is pretty accurate, I’ll say), I would have had a harder time deciding what to cut.

Like the first commenter said, brutal. Jem doesn’t seem that hardcore in the book to me though. Nice style anyways.
