Ficly

Landlord

He stood there by the window looking at what should’ve been his. But like all things that was his, it was taken away. Oh he still owned the world, but it didn’t have his name on it, and he knew it. It had a different type of name on it. Something that no matter how much scratching away at it, wouldn’t make it disappear, or even tarnish the name in question.

No, this world was his in transfer in deed only. Like a tenant to a landlord. But that he didn’t care about. He cared only as a pet owner owned a pet gold fish. He took care of it, at least did his part, but he didn’t care if the gold fish died or not. To him, it was like a buck a dozen. You’ve seen one world you’ve seen them all. He knew of all the worlds, in this realm and the next, and somehow this one had the most interest? That to him didn’t make sense.

He stared out at the sky looking for his home, but he couldn’t see it as clearly as he used to. “Mark my words I will claim this world for Xfyas. I will take what’s rightfully mine.”
