You really present a little of mystery but not so much as to keep the reader lost, but enough to keep the reader engaged and off to the sequel.

Scary situation, and I like the hints that his compatriot in all this may not be the most reliable companion. Not sure the elipses were called for, but that’s a style thing, I guess.
