Tee and La: Anger
“Varkus,” I growled. He turned his gaze from Tee to me. I could see the loathing in them.
“Why are you here La? I thought that you were still sulking in the shadows,” he sneered. I surpressed the urge to slap him.
“Tee is my twin, and I’ll never leave her. We always stick together,” I replied through my teeth. He narrowed his eyes.
“Well you aren’t wanted here. Leave,” he said, voice cold.
“Oh, but I am wanted. You want me here, right Tee?” I asked innocently. Tee turned to me and smiled.
“Of course. You’re my sister and I love you,” she said happily. She seemed oblivious to the anger between Varkus and I. I was really glad for that. Tee might be beautiful and strong, but she wasn’t the sharpest pencil in the box. Well, only when her thoughts are somewhere else. Which was often.
“Tee, why don’t you go and get some snacks for everyone,” Varkus said. She nodded and left. Leaving us alone.
