Tee and La: Dinner Invite
The door opened, and Varkus came in.
“What?” I asked through my teeth. He smiled.
“I almost forgot to tell you. Dinner is in half an hour. That should give you enough time to freshen up. I’m sure you remember were the dining room is,” Varkus said. I finally decided what his voice sounded to me now. It was like honey. Slick and too darn sweet.
“Yes I remember,” I said, teeth still clenched. He started to leave the room. As he was about to close the door, he stopped.
“Oh, and you’ll find your dresser and closet filled with clothes your size that I’m positive you’ll like,” he flashed me a grin, then left. I got up and sighed. No doubt I’d have to dress fancy. I went over to the closet. I opened it, and I saw a lot of black, red, and white.
