'58 Unicorn

The garage door moved upwards in jerking movements, slowly revealing Jim’s brand new ride. Once Bob saw it, his eyes went wide.
“Wow. Nice ride. What is this, a ’62?”
Jim shook his head and chuckled, the kind of chuckle you’d hear if someone thought you were being silly.
“The ’62s are all crap. This is a ’58, Bob.”
Bob’s eyes went even wider, which might have seemed impossible a few moments earlier.
“A ‘58? Damn. Well, she’s a beaut, Jim.”
He walked around the garage, admiring the body work.
“How often do you have to comb the tail?”
“That’s the drawback. It’s pretty high maintenance. Once every couple of weeks, at least.”
Bob nodded as if he knew how the ‘58s were. He didn’t.
“Strong legs, as well. How fast does she go?”
“I got her up to 40mph on the track.”
Jim had gotten around to, and was admiring, the front.
“Is that an after-market horn you got on there?”
Jim looked insulted.
“After market? It’s all original, but I had it resurfaced. There was some discolouration there when I bought it.”
