#83 Summer Sunshine
The sun shining in the sky made me happy like I hadn’t felt before. Toji had said that he loved me. He loved me! I clutched my hands to my chest daydreaming of our future love.
I came to at the worst time. The sun shone brightly as I watched with blurred eyes; the love of my life bent over a girl their lips suctioned together, eyes closed.
Tears came into my eyes but they refused to fall; I let a scream ring as my boyfriend and my best friend stared at me, terror in their eyes.
“Cristal,” they said in unison.
I scrambled to my feet and stormed toward them.
“I didn’t mean to,” Toji stammered. The sun shone brightly, romantically in his gold hair.
“What do you mean, you didn’t mean to?!”
“I-I—”
“It’s not his fault,” my ex-bestie, Sara blurted out. Her big blue eyes reflected the sun’s light in her tears.
“I don’t beleive you. I-I—” I looked at Toji’s chest instead of his eyes. “I can’t even look at you, right now.”
And I walked off on my won into the sunset, when he should have been running after me.
