Do you think the zombies are intelligently hostile? I kind of assume they aren’t.

I think they are demonstrated by the fact that they know how to climb, know you stay away from fire, and know to stay out of the sunlight.

But that’s just basic survival stuff. As most zombie movies would teach us, they are more or less brainless, focused on the sole task of consuming human flesh. And brains.

Well that’s mostly true unless there is a zombie lord around (or other kind of controller). Sometimes there is a super zombie, kind of their version of the Alien Queen, plus you can have different types ala Left for Dead… Go nuts!
