Actually, despite all of the comments to the contrary, I thought this was Robin and Catwoman behind Batman’s back. As evidence, I supply: belts, boy wonder, Selina (Catwoman’s name), she purrs, and Robin ahem Brom feels guilty about “him” and she implies that they (Him + Brom) spend a lot of time together. Just my two cents. On to the criticisms and such: I enjoyed it. I think it is well written. I love the word tawdry and word play in general (also the “pride of a man”) . Clever dialogue.
Robert has it spot-on. Honestly, Superman, PJ? Superman doesn’t even have a sidekick. I also through in ‘biddy’, which has a slight avian connotation, as another clue.
I don’t really mind that I didn’t pick up the comic book reference, it was a good story regardless – although with RQ’s comprehensive explanation it does read that little bit more intelligently – good work once more THX! MH :)
