Out Of Here

“Control time?” I asked, voice lower than before. My husband stood up straight. He offered me a tentative smile.
“Yes. You just put in the time and date you want, and it magicaly takes you there,” he explained.
“Really?” I asked. I really didn’t think that it was true. But… but what if by some chance it was true?
“Yes! It can,” he said.
I looked at the watch in his hand. It was an old, ugly thing. The leather strap was worn and ripped slightly at the edges. The screen part was dust and cracked. I didn’t see how it could possibly control time.
“Show me,” I said. Stanley nodded, and put the watch on. He set the watch for 10 minutes back…nothing happened.
I looked at the wall clock. Same time. We waited a while and still nothing.
“You fool!” I shrieked. “I knew it wouldn’t work! You’re such a moron! I’ve had enough of you! I’m going to my sister’s house. Don’t follow me.” With that said, I stormed out.
