Hm. Interesting mural.

I think many of us have murals like this, figuratively speaking. I liked this piece a lot. It rings with sadness, without being bitter and nostalgia with only a faint hint of regret. I enjoyed the imagery you created as if painting the mural itself, with your words.

Oh, that got depressing. The early part, for me, hinted that the parents died, and in the end it sounds like she’s about to die. Or maybe just moving away from home? Neat idea, even if I’m not entirely sure what is going on.
