Cold Eyes Part one
“People watching,” Katie started, “is different from stalking.”
I’m kind of glad I listened to Katie or else I wouldn’t have seen her. She was walking past our table pushing a stroller. The pink floral patterned stroller was equipped with everything you would need to take care of a baby on a day out. There was only one thing missing. The baby. I don’t know why, but instantly I looked into her deep brown eyes.
I wish I hadn’t. All my life I have been influenced by the cliché that all blue and grey eyes are considered the “cold eyes”. I now know this isn’t true. I saw the blizzard and the damage that the storm has caused at one glance. The devastation of a hurricane and the disastrous tornado are circling her thoughts. Her eyes were glazed over with rain and her blonde hair was wiry and looked more like hay.
