Continuing To Change My Life

We were about to fall asleep, my cousins and I.We spent the whole day helping our family cope, as we cleaned out our grandfather’s apartment. It was filled with everything that represented him — there were his baseballs, his trophies, his photos.Everything that he loved. And i felt a sense of warmth as my whole family, his loved ones, stood inside it-since we were important to him and he was important to us, everything seemed to fit.I felt him watching us, smiling upon us, wishing he was there to greet us into his home. The long stressful day was over, and my cousins and I silently cried and mourned for our grandfather, pretending to be asleep. My uncle walked in, and took a seat beside us.He sat there and told us about his beloved father, his hero, his idol. My uncle said that as a boy, he would teach him how to play ball; Since he couldn’t catch the ball in his glove, my grandfather would tell him: “If you can touch it, you can catch it.” Basically, if you can dream it, you can do it. Changed My Life.
