I had hoped to enter this in the Speculative Fiction challenge, but it seems I was a day late.
There were so many things that could have gone wrong during the Apollo 13 rescue back in 1970. What if Lovell, Swigert and Haise hadn’t made it home?
This story was inspired by today’s date, the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 13 explosion and the story of the “successful failure,” the rescue of the Apollo 13 crew.
