Ah very mysterious! I like it. It feels very much like a modern day fairytale (though ‘mowed’ is the only indication that it is modern day). It left me questions that I hope someone answers- Who is Kendall? What is her story? And what makes her different? They say that here on Ficly, one of the greatest compliments a writer can get is for someone to ask ‘What happens next?’. So, what happens next?

It’s strange how the description of the house and an almost throw-away line about Kendall tell you so much about the character.

Cool descriptions, and I like the ending a lot. You really set up one of those ‘local town’ sort of myths, small enough to be contained but still large enough to be ominous and fodder for a story.
