Definitely gave it a grizzly feel with all the injuries and defects. Nice take on a recurrent theme. Ooh, we humans are just so bad, aren’t we…so it fits the challenge quite well.

Reminded me of Watership Down somehow. Not that I really much remember that book…

Reminds me of the song “Big Yellow Taxi”, especially this part of it. “They paved paradise and put up a parking lot.”. Love the personification of the animals. Well done and with a message to boot.
