At lunch that day, I noticed something shocking. She was in my lunch period! With excitement, I wanted to go over there, but I couldn’t find myself to go say hello. I got on the lunch line to get myself something to eat, and I kept staring back at her, trying to get our eyes to lock. But she never looked over at me, which upset me deeply. It was like outside of the algebra class I didn’t exist to her. All I wanted was to know her name, know everything about her, be hers.
