Very nice. I like the personal tone of voice. I particularly like the last bitter line.

The tone and atmosphere work for me. Nitpick: “rent itself in twain” should be “rend itself in twain”, but I find the phrase fitting oddly into the story. How about something involving the word “fission” or “bifurcate,” to keep with the physics-y feel of that paragraph?

I’m enjoying reading this series and have to say this is the best piece so far. – This story stands alone, with greatness.

I have a brother who only understands how to speak utilizing swear words, he does it in front of my father, it embarrasses me. I hold the phone away from my ear and I won’t sit in a restaurant with him anymore, his language sours my stomach and rots my food.
