I didn’t see that ending coming! I love this poem. Brilliant job!

Yep, sounded a bit like a dream there in the beginning, so the ending made sense, but the shift away from the kind of loose, magical narrative of most of the poem made the wakening all the more sad and tragic. Nice poem.
