You have a very easy-to-read style that kept me on the edge of my seat. Was the beast the dog, or something else? I’m glad the tale has a happy ending. I liked the twist at the end, a very telling bit of story about how fear plays with the mind, comes up with suppositions and assumptions, mostly in the direction of unavoidable doom.Nicely done.
