This reminds me a little of a situation I’m going through, where a friend told me I wasn’t her friend anymore, then took my money. Sucks, I know, and she’s s’posed to be a Christian. Anyway, she’s in the same place as whoever “you” is.

It always hurts to be on the receiving end of this type of friendship. I hope this isn’t written from experience. Well written and sad. Some people just don’t know what they’ve got until it’s gone.

There’s a churn of emotion (grief, defiance and desperation, primarily) in this piece, as though the protagonist hasn’t resolved her feelings entirely as yet.

On the chance that this is not a work of fiction, welcome to life. Life is change, and sometimes we’re reluctant to embrace change. The best that we can hope for is that when change happens that we cannot prevent, that we accept it with some grace. It may hurt but, ultimately, it’s a good thing. The only other advice that I would offer is to try not to let a friendship be valued solely on the last thing that happened within that friendship. There will always have been more good times than bad. I apologize for having been so maudlin.

Amazing… I think most people have been through something like this – makes it personal to those readers that have. The gradual breakdown of what was once thought undying. Definitely 5 pencils.

This happened to me once , then almost happened again, except I learned from the first time. Reading it brought back some painful memories.

I don’t know what inspired this, but from what I feel I would say a person couldn’t write this accurately without experience.
