Nice touch on the current events. I wish they would take responsibility and build something like that. I wonder what language the archeologists speak… I don’t think religion will be so easily left behind either. Still, interesting thoughts. What would we like to be known for?
I didn’t follow, but I’m not up on my Catholic stuff. I’m with Robert in terms of incredulity that this stuff would be entirely lost at this point, but perhaps that’s foolish pride. Still, a nice way to do a little thought-provoking and commentary.
The title comes from the bible, where in it was said that the punishment for a mans sin, would be passed on to his children, and his childrens children, etc.. down seven generations.
In this story, it’s meant to symbolise the church being held to the same standard. Their sin of abuse and cover up, having just recently come to light, should lead to a punishment which will last seven generations.
I suppose you kind of have to be somewhat familiar with the bible to get the reference.
