Children don’t have that luxury but sometimes the automatic acceptance is awesome to behold. Two kids can become “best friends” for reasons that no longer exist for adults. I envy them and occasionally nostalgia gets the better of me.
As for your story, it seems less like a story and more of some well thought out opinions/statements. I think it is interesting and clearly there are some exceptional ideas presented, but I have no character to root for (other than myself) and no trials to attach these revelations to. Still, it is well written and engaging. I am interested in any further thoughts you have.
Don’t you just love these deep philosophical ‘thoughts-to-paper’ type stories. Bravo, Elsha, Bravo. I loved this story, as one who has royally ruined his own life and would love to edit it.
I know its not a story, more of an essay, but my word of the day was Edit and this is what came out. :) Feel free to sequel with your own stories and experiences where you wish you could go back and Edit.
i dont know if i really like this or if i am just glad you aren’t mad and ranting (and getting featured) about me for once.hehehehe Ok i know now….I like it. and i like the comment about how two kids can meet and become partners in crime, just because they both hate green beans.
Lovely little thought piece. I used to waste hours as an adolescent going back over and over a day, vain attempts to edit what had happened, make revisions. At best it was planning for the next occurrence, but mostly it was just editing.
