The end seemed abrupt. I wish for a last confrontation with the troll. He was a force in previous stories, and I would think not easily given the slip.
However, this is beautifully written and a good continuation of this story.
A little cheesy perhaps, the coincidences that make the character feel warm and fuzzy about life again, but interesting nonetheless, the idea that this ‘life mirror’ is a two way thing…

oh, way to be optimistic! So washing the brain of its memories was not the best choice, huh? The thing is, those good things that were consequences or antecedents, he didn’t even know about them. They aren’t his memories. He still has to face the bad things in his head. He may have hope, but he still needs to deal with the past.
