In case I haven’t been perfectly clear: I love it here.

Ficly is where I can allow my imagination to fly, taking me through worlds of my own creation while visiting the creations of others. During my visits I’ll drop a comment, let you all know what I think. Normally I am satisfied. Often I’m impressed, even blown away.

There’s no pressure, no status updates, no checking to see who’s online. I can be myself and an anonymous writer simultaneously. I build my reputation through my own critique and creativity. My connection to others here is as simple as wanting to read more of what they write. That’s brilliantly uncomplicated and such a relief compared to heavier relationships.

There’s no doubt that Ficly is an escape for me. The mundane threatens – I can spend an hour here until it bypasses, or just pop in long enough to see what’s new. Nothing’s more exciting than reading what people think about my stories. Competition is friendly between challenges, and whoever wins always deserves it.
