Curse you, Dark Hillbilly: I’m having one of my nitpickiest days in weeks, and I can’t find anything wrong with this piece. I can easily imagine the situation here, as I have woods immediately behind my house. People that say that there’s nothing there in the dark that isn’t there in the light are lying.

The dark is the scariest thing. It’s always been there: the darkness is Evil, and so it is. Nothing good comes from darkness.

yup. light is bad for nightvision. This is the kind of scene right before the monster leaps out at the protagonist and you jump out of your skin. nicely done!
