Bite of the Werecat
“There’s a werewolf in the barn!” called Jeffie. “It’s dead and really stinky!"
Bindi raced off to see the smelly lump lying in the hay. Half it’s face and butt were missing.
“Are you sure it’s a werewolf?” asked Bindi.
“Duh! I know a werewolf when I see one.”
“Do you think he’s the one that bit Spotty?”
Jeffie looked at Bindi. His eyes wide with horror.
“Spotty bit me last night! I’m a werecat!” His heart sank as he dropped to the ground and cried, “I don’t wanna be a werecat!”The human heard his mournful howl and raced to the barn to see what happened.
“Jeffie? What’s wrong?”
She sat down in the hay beside him. As she sat rubbing his little back, she glanced over and saw the werewolf. “Huh. Well now we know what happened to Charlie’s dog.”
“Dog?” whispered Bindi.
Jeffie sniffed and wiped his little eyes. “You mean I’m not a werecat?”
“Nope.” replied Bindi.
Jeffie burst into tears again.
“You’re not a werecat, ya idiot.”
“But I changed my mind! I wanna be a werecat!”
