I love it, the twist of perspective and moral justification for the eventual attack. It reminds me of all the times I used to take a running start to leap onto my bed from 3 feet away after turning off the light.

Wonderful! I really enjoyed this story. A nice original take on what the challenge calls for. Personally, I love it when the monster becomes the victim. It’s always a good point of view to write from.
