cordite is not used in modern firearms, and based on your military knowledge, the word cordite was not an accidental usage. which makes an interesting twist to what he had done and how he had done it.
You know, Krulltar, I had no idea that cordite was an erroneous term. I also say “gun powder” along with many other people when we should be saying “smokeless powder.” I heard cordite in a book once and liked the sound of it better than I did the phrase “gunpowder smell.”
My American History teacher back in high school was an an avid gun enthusiast, and spent an entire class period talking about misinformation that ticked him off. Cordite was one of the things, as well as, hollywood’s ideas of shooting through engine blocks or shooting the gas tank to blow up a car, ect.
